David Howell, Cubist Profile Earrings

These solid brass earrings are inspired by analytical cubism, famously known for breaking up objects and reassembling them in abstracted forms. The earrings take a detail from a 1912 portrait of Germaine Raynal by Juan Gris shows the beginning of that movement, which was to have a great influence on the art world.
